Matakana Island 8th March 2009

A bunch of us did an all dayer at the Island today.  It was only 2-3ft and dam was it crowded.  Every surfer in the Mount these days seems to either have a boat or knows someone who has a boat.  I’m not pointing fingers like some old guru, the first thing I did when I blew into town was bought a boat and started exploiting the hell out of the place getting photos run in the magazines.  But I’m still prepared to grumble about the crowds like a grumpy old bastard.

It was a fun day, even though the surf was small it was the first time of this shitty summer that we actually hung out there for the day.
